For the past ten years, Venice, once the poor relative of its rich neighbor Santa Monica, is in full swing. Abbott Kinney, the main street named after the famous developer of the canals and Ocean Park, is a lively place where millionaires and surf bums meet daily. A few blocks away, the boardwalk is one of the most colorful places in the country. Temple merchants, tourists, locals and various wrecks coexist in this amazing environment. This series of photos taken in three marathon sessions in January 2016, 2017 and 2018 represent my vision of this ever-changing neighbourhood.
